Gala Concert 2020

Friends of Mid Wales Opera ~ Gala 2020

Our Friends of Mid Wales Opera Gala concerts at Gregynog Hall are usually a highlight of our summer, a chance to gather with our Friends and enjoy magical music, picnics and prosecco in a stunning historic setting.

While our 2020 summer concert was cancelled because of the pandemic, we were able to create a digital version filmed last August, swapping Gregynog’s Music Room for the Presteigne’s Assembly Rooms and Judge’s Lodging.

We have been sharing the digital version of our Gala with MWO’s Friends in three installments and are delighted to now make it more publicly available. We hope you enjoy the varied programme put together by Charlotte Forrest, who would normally host our Gregynog concert, with performances by Fflur Wyn (soprano) and Robyn Lyn Evans (tenor).

Filmed at Presteigne Assembly Rooms and the Judge’s Lodging on 15 August 2020
