British mezzo-soprano Stephanie Windsor-Lewis spent the first half of her career in Italy where she sang principal roles at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Biennale di Venezia and Teatro Donizetti di Bergamo. Prior to this she studied at the RCM.
Stephanie’s UK engagements have included Suzuki Madama Butterfly and Rosmira Partenope (English National Opera), Beethoven’s 9th Symphony (Barbican Centre with the Royal Philharmonic), and Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem and Vivaldi’s Gloria (Royal Albert Hall). Other engagements include a concert with José Carreras in Singapore & Berio’s Sinfonia for the Lucerne Festival with Pierre Boulez. She recently sang Brigitta Die Tote Stadt (Longborough Festival Opera) and in 2023 sings Maddalena Rigoletto (Diva Opera). Previous roles for MWO include Larina Eugene Onegin and La Frugola Il tabarro.
