Steffan Lloyd Owen studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and Drama in Manchester, taught by Nicholas Powell. His prizes include W. Towyn Roberts Scholarship Prize 2018, Blue Riband Osborne Roberts Memorial Prize 2016 and Kathleen Ferrier Society Bursary for Young Singers 2015. Roles include Doctor/Chorus Macbeth (MWO) Sciarrone/Jailer Tosca (Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod), Brundibar Brundibar (Welsh National Youth Opera), Lord Hate-Good Pilgrim’s Progress, Ser Amantio Di Nicolao Gianni Schicchi and George Jones Street Scene (RNCM) Zaretsky Eugene Onegin, El Dancairo Carmen and Y Brenin Cyfrinach y Brenin (Opra Cymru). Recent concert highlights include Mozart’s Requiem (L’Orchestre National de Bretagne). Next season, Steffan will join the International Opera Studio in Zurich Opera.
