Tenor Robyn Lyn Evans was raised in Pont-rhyd-y-groes, Ceredigion, but now lives in Machynlleth with his young family. He graduated from Trinity College Carmarthen where he was awarded the Stuart Burrows bursary and from the Royal College of Music, London. Robyn started singing in the Eisteddfod competitions of Wales and highlights include Llangollen International Young Singer of the Year, Osborne Roberts Memorial Prize and David Ellis Memorial Prize. Previous MWO appearances include Lensky Eugene Onegin, Luigi Il Tabarro and Macduff Macbeth. Elsewhere his most recent roles include Don José Carmen, Il Duca Rigoletto and Alfredo La Traviata. He is delighted to be given the opportunity by MWO to perform Canio in Pagliacci this autumn, in what will be a role debut for him.
