Welsh harpist Elfair Grug Dyer completed her master’s degree at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, after gaining her BMus degree at the conservatoire with first class honours in 2011 as an ABRSM Scholar. Born in the heart of the Llŷn Peninsula, Elfair has enjoyed many successes at the Welsh Eisteddfodau and festivals. Elfair has embarked on a professional career as a harpist; releasing her debut solo album with SAIN records in 2017, touring extensively with the CLOUDS Harp Quartet, and freelancing with orchestras. In 2016, Elfair returned to the UK after living in Bangkok, Thailand for two years working as a harp teacher and harpist in residence at the Tamnak Prathom Harp Centre. Elfair is a Live Music Now! alumni, her work as a LMN artist has led to her passion of working as a music practitioner in health settings, bringing music from the concert hall to challenging and more intimate environments.
